All three groups represent individuals and organisations concerned with salt and its effects on health working to bring about a reduction in salt consumption by working with the food industry and government.
AWASH is chaired by Bruce Neal – Senior Director, The George Institute for Global Health.
AWASH is currently supported by 34 individuals and 20 organisations.
AWASH has received seed funding and in kind support from The George Institute for Global Health and The National Health and Research Council of Australia (through a Program Grant award made to Dr Bruce Neal and other investigators at The George Institute), and is currently seeking further funding from industry, State and Federal governments, health authorities and research funding bodies.
